A toy cooking set, we called it “masak – masak”. Every girl should play this before when we was a kids.

We used to cook food and serve for our friends or parents by using the toy cooking set. We can spend time for whole day, friend chit chat around and make the environment feel warm and happy. Some will cook, some will serve, and some is the customer, every kids play together, this makes the whole environment full with laugh and memory. Toy always bring us friendship, we can get new friend from our neighbour.

In this technology era, everything replace by 3C products. Unfortunately, this cooking game has got the replacement in mobile application. Game developers have developed number of cooking game in mobile such like ipad and iphone. Nowadays, not only kids, almost all the smart phones users are crazy for game. There is many cooking game in phone application such as Pocket Chef, Breakfast Maker, Make Froyo, Dr.Panda Restaurant, Cake Mania 3 and others. Therefore, most of the toy cooking set will eliminate very soon. In the future, our child would not to experience all the toy, maybe yes! Maybe no! I feel great to experience these toys; it makes my childhood more live and fun.  I played the cooking game in the phone, but it won’t interest and lively as we play the toy when we was a kids.

Don’t let your kids have a boring childhood memory, faster grab it from shop and play with your kids. They will like it.

Rubik's Cube :)

90's guys&girls, do you recall this toys?

I believe most of the 90's will remember this toys-Rubik's Cube (also known as Magic Cube) which brings a lot of memories and fun in our childhood life. Basically, Rubik's Cube is a 3-D combination puzzle invented in 1974 by Hungarian sculptor and professor of architecture Ernő Rubik. Originally called the "Magic Cube", the puzzle was licensed by Rubik to be sold by Ideal Toy Corp. in 1980[3] via German businessman Tibor Laczi and Seven Towns founder Tom Kremer, and won the German Game of the Year special award for Best Puzzle that year. As of January 2009, 350 million cubes had been sold worldwide making it the world's top-selling puzzle game. It is widely considered to be the world's best-selling toy.

First of all, there are the Names of Algrothims in the cube. R=right up L=left up U=up right Ri=right down Li=left down Ui=up left F=front clockwise Fi=front counterclockwise (As we can see from the Above Image)

Furthermore, there are several benefits that can advantage the children from playing Rubik's Cube. Studies have shown that engaging in mental activity through magic cube and puzzles can help keep the mind sharp in old age. Just as regular physical exercise helps the body, regular mental exercise has benefits for the mind. Completing magic cubes, puzzles, and board games have been shown to be beneficial to the maintenance of short-term memory, eye-hand co-ordination and general concentration. Other than that, it can also improves spatial awareness, exercises the brain, demonstrates the need for practice and it represents a pure example of true learning. If the children can solve the magic cube, they can gain problem-solving skills and improve their cognitive skills.

Currently, there are more kinds of magic cubes such as in Alphabets form, Picture forms, number forms to attract different segments of customers instead of just the ordinary colour form.

Nowadays, it has become more technology where the children can played the Magic Cube games at the Internet. Unlike the 90's, we are required to buy a Rubik's Cube at the selected store instead of playing it online. As a conclusion, Rubik's Cube recall most of my memories in my childhood time. Through Rubik's Cube,I can spend most of my times with my family together as they will assist me in finding the solutions together and yet it brought a lot of fun to all of us. What about yours? Have you seen Slinky?Do you play Slinky before?Are you guys known what is Slinky?

Slinky is a toy,helical spring that stretches and can spring up and down.It can perform a number of tricks,include travelling down a flight of steps , it stretch and reforms itself with the support of gravity and it own force.

A lot of time,when i see the slinky.I was thinking about how its figure change when view from different places.I imagine what it could possibly represent,being the hollow versatile object that it.I also noted the seems to create.The front parts of the spiral seem to disappear when i was focus on the back part.It also has colourful design like rainbow,it looks nice and has great value,and this environmentally friendly to come with your choice of colour handles.It got a slim design too.

Brick Game.

I think most of the 90's playing time was spent with the electronic device - Brick Game Player.

Do you still remember what is the electronic device we always play with when we was a kid?

Nowadays, Brick Game Player hard to survive in the society because people buy the technology product such as smart phones, PSP, IPod and etc.  But...... we can play it on FACEBOOK now. It's call Tetris Battle. 

Many people addicted in this game when it launch on Facebook. It is different compare with the old brick game because it got colourful visual and also can challenge with others friends.

Barbie Doll - A little girl's partner

If boys are holding Pokemon cards, girls will be talking to their barbie dolls. Aha! Girls, if you are smiling right now because of this, you are lucky to own a barbie doll during your childhood!

Last time when I am being a little girl (Yes I am a girl), one thing I know is that barbie doll is nothing without clothes, foods, friends, prince and a beautiful house. We, girls normally expected others to treat us like a princess and therefore the barbie doll is the reflection of us. The purpose of having barbie doll and toy animal is different as we used to talk to toy animal when we are in bad mood but we will never express our unhappiness to barbie doll. The reason is we do not want the reflection of us to have an unhappy mood as how we are feeling in reality. This is starting to sound a little creepy, but yes, this is the pure childhood we had!

Have you ever noticed that the barbie dolls basically having the same face? However, these are all considered as different in the mindset of a little girl regardless of the skin tone, clothes and accessories. Therefore, we tend to demand for more barbie doll sets in order to change their appearances everyday.

By this,

a male doll appeared in the film "Toy Story 3", named as Ken doll. Since then, the market is starting to sell male dolls for the role of prince of barbie doll's use!

What is Tamagotchi?

Talking about toy or electronic gaming device, I am certain that the answer will start with alphabet "P" or "i", if you know what I meant. They are PSP, PS3, iPod, iPad etc. Those are the device that people spend most of the time to face on it. I wonder people still able to recall, the day before these high tech devices exist. 

Do focus on my coming up question. "Can you recall an electronic device which called Tamagotchi?" Still don't get? I will get you some tips.

Tip 1# It is a tiny and round device;
Tip 2# It has various type of color choices;
Tip 3# There will be an animal live in it;
Tip 4# It could be dead if you are not feeding them.

YES, it was the 90s kid favorite! An electronic pet craze, Tamagotchi! Oh, by the way, we used to call it "pet chick-y" instead of the originals name.

It was a brilliant idea which came from Japan. During our childhood generation, most of the children couldn't own themselves a pet, (and I was the one of them :( ) because of thousand issue which entirely related with parents. Therefore, Tamagotchi was created at the perfect timing to fulfill the 90s kid's dream. In the year, Tamagotchi was consider as high technologies to us. In order to follow the so-call trend between children, all of them were happy to own themselves a Tamagotchi.

Time flies; trend had changed. Those device has been replaced by the current high teach device like smart phone, note book and so on. People might taught it probably are now eliminated by society, but Tamagotchi had successfully got itself into a new transformation! It is now re-hatching as an application and it is now available on iPhone store. :D

It also successfully created a topic on social network, Twitter.

Come quietly or there will be trouble...

 What's Up !!! yes so we are reminiscing our childhood memories and the topic simply being Toys :) I'm sure most of us have that one special toy that we always had fiddled with back then during the days i would say. i have this one special toy and i loved it so much . I'm talking about Robocop ! This action figure was then made into a movie, after being broadcast ed as a cartoon back then .it is basically a human that was killed by a drug gang, and then scientist revived him, and turning him into a machine.

so this has been one of my favorite show, and it still is, so i got my parents to get me and action figure of Robocop. It was not a normal ordinary toy, it was heavy, it wasn't all metal but it was made with a very hard plastic. just like the show , the action figure it self shows how solid Robocop is. The design from the core of the show is extremely interesting that is how i find it. From what it was, and how it became later on.

I remember i would just play with this toy, and start tossing it everywhere being in my own world , and my mom would never seemed to stop screaming because it damages the floor and the tiles. Doesn't leave a great impact where it leaves a hole, but scratches and stain. I just love the design of this toy , its durable and long lasting. i was very rough with it yet it didn't even break just by a little bit. Not like any other toy that there is in the store today, it is never ever long lasting as toys back then and this toy Robocop to be precise. Toys are definitely used to be broken someday somehow as it is fragile. back then in the day, toys are collect able simply because they last that long! Every friend of mine used to come over to my place to play with it but of course, being a kid , touching your toys is like robbing from another person. that was how precious it is to me , till i wouldn't let it to be in a possession of somebody else.

So, playing this toy when im in the world of my own, i would also start shouting and saying those exact lines that Robocop use to say just like the above video. those are the lines, famous lines that is said by him usually often, when he apprehends a suspect. And of course those famous advise that he shares which is stay out of trouble. Now this toy, is just spectacular. Watching the show , with all the things he shares with the viewers, when i start playing with this toy , every single thing i will definitely able to recall. Adding unto this , it also help me to behave in a way because i look up to this show , and i got my self an action figure that i have with me every single time.If i don't have it in my hands , its definitely on the table right in front of me . This toy has taught me a lot in a way , and this toy had been my best friend back then as well. One of my favorite toy that i play with every single day after coming home from school and then get the yelling of my life from my parents being so obsessed about this toy. :) But this is by far one of the best toys that i have ever have. not only it was long lasting, but it was an action figure , of a man that i really admire and idolized. 

This was really an "it" thing back then till we have people dressing like Robocop too. well it is usually done during Halloween because during this era, in the late 80's and 90's , everyone would love to be him :)

So this is one of my favorite toy. I m sure you have one or two special toy as well.

Childhood . Colourful - Sand Art

Colours and arts always make our childhood more wonderful and interesting.

Guessing everyone has done this when you were kids? Sand art… Well, sand art doesn’t mean do the art on the sand. It is a toy or art creation for kids.

Do you remember this?

On that time, when we see a booth and many colors container shows on the booth, for sure we will request to our parents we want to play it. The most fun part is we can coloring the picture what we want and kids can choose the cartoon they like such as hello kitty and Doraemon.

This is a good activity to bond the relationship between parents and their children. Parents can share their idea and enjoy the moments with their kids to create their own picture and imagination of the colour.

Besides that, it also can be the learning material for the kids. Parents can use the sand art and teach their kids to differentiate the colour type and this will let their kids to improve the creativity.

Share a little bit my childhood memory to you, when I was a child, my parents like to buy me different sand art and this will be family activity for every weekend. I really miss the moment when I spend time with my family very much.   

Suggestion:

There is few place you can get the sand art from there like art shop, shopping mall, Toy “R” Us, and Toy City. Use some creative and art to bring your child a memorable and interesting childhood, it worth it!

I am sure think most of you know about this, right? Yo-yo ! This is one of our childhood toys. 
When I was a kid, I still can remembered that my friends always take a Yo-yo spin and spin around me. Yo-yo become most of my friend's hobby.

This is not just a hobby, but also a style in this generations. 
Yo-yo have different types and colours. There are also many techniques to play Yo-yo. 

Yo-yo also become a performance for the teenagers in this generations. 
Nowadays, there also have Yo-yo competition for all the Yo-yo lovers to fulfill their interest.

Game Boy...

For a lot of kids like me back in the early 1990s,the game boy was the only thing to look forward.Game Boy is something that I have a lot fun and nostalgic memories when I boring.

I have a nice collection of Game boy games.Of cause ,these are all original game boy cartridges that I own.The game boy pocket can only play these games,and sadly is no have game boy colour games can be played on them.In my collection I have, Super Mario land 1,super Mario land 2,Kirby dreamland,Donkey Kong,king of fighter,pitfall beyond the jungle,and Harvest moon.
You might be saying to yourself Where is pokemon game??Well sadly my pokemon stopped working a long time ago,so now i have try to buy another one but not sure that it is still sell. My charger is plugged directly direct play,but a little bit lose fitting,it will slowly shut down.

At that time this game boy is very expensive,but now the value of nothing,plus it is black and white.This game boy in my hearts is the most precious toys.

Now game boy is not black and white any more,even mobile phones also have a lot of different function.
Times have changed so fast,when I am a child i need beg my parents before they can buy a toy for me.

Playing with Clay - Shape your life :)

90's kids , are you one of them ?? 

The most memorable toy in my entire childhood is Clay Play. Not only me, I believe it’s most of the children’s favorites as well. Playing with the clay is a good sensory stimulation through different touch can stimulate the pituitary gland changes in children, and then converted to stimulate the growth of the child is very helpful.

Every time during art class, I am the most happiest because I like to play the clay with my classmates. In my impression, the teacher in art class is a very nice and creative teacher, she always teach us to do various kind of shapes, buildings, animals and so on. 

She is very patient in teaching us. Furthermore, teacher will give a reward for those who have the most creative works. I still remember I’m the student that always rewarded by my teacher as I always came out with impressive and creative design of my clay.

In the future when I have a child, I would strongly agree my child to attend a play clay class. By letting the children to attend play clay class, it will bring plenty of benefits to them such as to share creative ideas with other children, to make / improvise toys, play equipment from easily available materials as Play clay is non-toxic and not harmful to children. Other than that, Clay play fosters eye-hand coordination and clay is so fascinating that some children work for long periods without any adult motivation to maintain their interest. It can be a great way to extend the attention span of some children.

This clay toys is available in various toys shop such as Toysrus and so on.  During the 90's ,the design is using the paper box. Nowsdays, it is very convenient and easy-to-carry design for kids which is all packing into the box (See the Above Image).

As a result, clay play brings plenty of memories to me. So, how about all of you?

Electric Fishing Toy

90's kids, get ready to have your mind blown. ;)

If there are memories running through your mind now, it means you are old and awesome. 90's kids should not miss this toy!

I bet most of the kids last time had underestimate this toy when the first time they seen this. Yes, I am one of them and it totally opposite with my first thought. There is always a moment that we will be end up being annoyed by the toy. Funny yet true!

                      

The toy is accompanied with the sound effects that will sometimes stir up our excitement and intension, slowly with the frustration (If you tend to play it for times). Also, it will be the special time in your memories because your friends and family used to appear at this moment for saving your life. The funniest thing is that we could play it alone for a long time and find a way to gain attention from others when we had succeeded to pull all the fishes out from the machine. This is how amazing the childhood will be. Everyone was usually laughing at you and therefore you learnt to be independent indirectly. 

The toy is available in the market now but it is rare to find it everywhere. Besides, there are changes on the size, music, character and concept. As long as we can play it for now, these would not be the problems!  

Moreover,

you can even find it in Legoland now with the larger pool compared to the toy machine!

For the kids nowadays who have interested with it, the parents shall grab one of it and practice the patience of your kids. For the 90s kids who seen and played this during your childhood, share with the people you are now thinking of! ;)
